Clarification...

The 'Indian Act' stipulates that lands reserved for the "enjoyment and use of indians"; to hunt and fish...well homes and communities were based on the small portions the government alloted them, so now where do we hunt? Where are all the animals going? I know my freezer is still empty because there isn't enough deer and moose running around for meat. This is where its at now what? Where did the Queen get off saying this was her land when she never even stepped foot here when she said that? I guess its ok if your the oppressor and that's what you teach; as if its ok to colonize people all over the world. The God complex has to go, and the control mechanism within that complex is turning against them. All the control goes out the window when the money becomes worthless...

Yes western capitalist democracy is dependant on money. And it would seem that this is the Achilles heal. I don’t know how likely it will be that the economics will crash. In so far as politics are a function of corporate interests it would seem that the elites would do anything and everything to prevent the devaluation of their money.

I don’t know the particulars but it is my understanding that natives are not aloud to farm on reserves. I wonder what would happen if smaller gardens and small herds of livestock were made and the produce sold at farmers markets. This may sound silly but it would certainly push the issue. Because if bands were to become self sufficient then economically there would be the possibility of building a Nation. Imagine if the Canadian government started going onto reserves trying to shut down gardens and stealing goats. I realise that farming isn’t the traditional way of life for many native cultures but neither is driving vehicles or watching t.v.

It seems that a subversive move like this would have popular support. And many would be surprised to find out that reserves are being held in “trust” and not owned by Native people.
